Rethink What You’re Really Eating

Stop Calling Junk ‘Food’ || Not Everything You Eat Deserves to Be Called “Food

“We often hear the same recycled advice:
“If you want to stay healthy and fit, eat good food.”

We’ve all been cooked in this dialogue, stuck in the same loop, hoping for magical results without questioning the basics.

Let’s break that loop. No long lectures—just a few real questions worth asking:

Question 1: What is food, really?

Ask Google. Ask ChatGPT. You’ll find a common keyword in most definitions:
“Growth and Repair”
(Of course, other purposes include energy, pleasure, social connection, etc.)

Now comes the real question:

Question 2:

If something doesn’t contribute to your body’s growth or repair through its nutritional value… does it even qualify as food?

Think about it.

If a substance actively damages your body, how can you still call it “bad food”? It’s not “bad food” — it’s not food at all.
You’re simply consuming trash.
Don’t fool yourself. Don’t wear pride over eating “some good, some bad.” There’s nothing cool about calling junk by the name of food.

Let’s Flip the Script

There’s another issue tied to this mindset. Even real food is being labeled as bad.
Take ghee or butter, for example. Some self-proclaimed experts call them unhealthy.

Now, I’m not here to argue. But here’s what I am asking you to do:

Do you even know how the human digestive system works — at a basic level?

If not, ask your expert. Then compare what they say with proper books and trusted resources.
If yes, re-verify it. Sometimes, questioning the basics can do more for your health than following trendy advice.

Why even bother doing all this?
Don’t—if you’re okay spending on treatment later.

But if you can’t afford treatment, then invest now in expanding your knowledge.

And even if you can afford treatment, as a coach I’ll still say this:
It’s always better to spend on betterment than on treatment.

Stay aware. Stay informed. And above all — call food what it truly is.
